The versatile Thermo Tech FLEX/PAND/VEE
stainless steel braided metal hose expansion
seismic loop is a simple, but elegant solution
for axial, lateral, and angular piping motion due
to thermal expansion and contraction or to
seismic or structural shift. The “VEE” design
is a cost saving alternative to the old, traditional
bellows, slip-type (packed) expansion joints,
or hard piping loops.
Thermo Tech FLEX/PAND/VEE expansion/seismic
loops are available in pipe sizes from ½” to 12”,
with end fittings for 150# and 300# flanged piping
systems. They are also available with grooved, butt weld,
threaded, or copper sweat connections. Consult
the factory for larger movements, and higher pressure
ratings. Standard designs allow for +/- 2” or +/- 4” of multi-plane
(X-Y-Z axis) motion.
